India clinched a convincing seven-wicket victory against Bangladesh in the Test match series at Green Park Stadium, Kanpur, securing their spot in the ICC World Test Championship final for the third consecutive time.
Despite losing more than half a day to rain, the Indian batters displayed an aggressive approach that set up the win. Yashaswi Jaiswal and Virat Kohli (29*) steered India to victory after early dismissals of Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill. Jaiswal's quick 51 off 45 balls put India on the brink of victory before Kohli and Rishabh Pant sealed the win with three runs to spare.
The Indian bowlers also shone on the final day, with Ashwin taking 3/50, Jadeja 3/34, and Bumrah 3/17. Bangladesh, starting the day at 26/2, lost eight wickets in the extended morning session, adding just 120 runs.
